I finished up a couple of small gifts for my parents. These were not Christmas presents, but gifts nonetheless.

The scribe was an adventure because it was difficult sourcing the scribe material that was able to fit the specific tolerances of the pencil mechanism. I ended up using a stainless tig welding rod as the scribe.

The pencil/scribe was made of chestnut from a 100 year-old Amish barn.

The red pen is a twist pen kit in gold with dyed maple burl.

technically, this was the third attempt after a failed twist mechanism and two blank failures.

The final project is a shop/sketch pencil with a deer antler handle.

Now I can sit back and await their visit and present these items when they come to visit this weekend.

...And tackle some larger scale projects.
